The Dream – Improvisation performance

Michele Marchesani and Valentina Lupi, after a residency held in Bologna in October, decide to share their research and exploration on the theme of dreams. The show, totally improvised, is fed at times by audio/video references from the well-known Richard Linklater film, Waking Life.

Homage to Alda Merini

An improvisation show inspired by the works and life of the great deceased poet.

The voice of Francesco Loi, actor and theatrical trainer, and the music of Michele Marchesani, musician, dancer and researcher of body movement, will intertwine with the dance of Giorgia Urbinati, dancer and researcher, creating an artistic fusion between different expressive languages. This collaboration will give life to a new performance dedicated to the famous Milanese artist.

The show will not only be an exhibition, but also an investigation into the process of improvisation, based on immediate impulses that manifest themselves and are channeled instantly, orchestrating the suggestions of a profound and sensitive poetry like that of Alda Merini. The audience will be involved in an indissoluble intertwining of sounds, lights, words and movements, living an unrepeatable experience thanks to the improvisation of the performers.
